We desperate need fathers by Dr. Paul Taylor

I shared a prophetic word over all of you. (Read here) You are spiritual fathers to your nation.  That God is raising up a generation that will lead nations out of poverty and out of the past!

Prophetic words guide us to move forward in the direction that God has already been speaking to us.  Prophetic words must be accompanied by action!  Actions that coupled with training so that we can fulfill the Word of the Lord.  I can prophesy that you are fathers, but if I don’t help you to gain the necessary tools of fatherhood, then I am setting you up to fail!  The Holy Spirit is going to help you, but there is a need to be trained, and equipped to do what the Holy Spirit has revealed to you.

Just as the apostle Paul shared with the Corinthians, “For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.”  1Cor. 4:15

Men have in them the ability to impregnate a woman and bring forth a child, BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE THEM A FATHER!  There is a huge difference between having a child and being a father!  So for me to just expect you to father your children, both spiritual and blood born is a mistake, without giving you the tools that are necessary to be good fathers!

We are living in a fatherless generation.  There is an orphan spirit that prevails in our world today.  Josimar spoke to this in his previous message. (Read here) This is what the Holy Spirit is speaking of at this moment and has been trying to help the church to understand for many years.  Many Pastors want to grow their church, but they are men having children, not fathers raising Kingdom sons and world changers!!!

I am not sure how many of you have children of your own, but fathering begins first with your blood born children!  Paul spoke to Timothy about in 1 Timothy 3 by giving Timothy the qualifications of a leader.  They had to first have their personal home in order, before they could lead others.  THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM IN THE CHURCH TODAY AND WHY WE DO NOT HAVE MANY SPIRITUAL FATHERS.

This is an incredibly important subject because the building block of all nations is the home.  This is why marriage is so important and why it is under attack.  Divorce in our society today is on the increase.  Unfaithful marriage partners is a common way of life with many.  Homosexual relationships is a direct attack on God’s creation of family.  All of these relational issues contribute to the lack of fathers in our world today.

I am not going to assume that you know what a good father does or who he is as a person, but the Word of God gives us everything we need to become who He created us to be.  Ladies you can be spiritual fathers also, so please don’t think I am leaving you out.  Begin by being a good mother.

Here are three things that came to me as I have been praying and thinking about this subject.

A good father:

  1. Delights in his children.  “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”  Matthew 3:17.   “For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.”  Prov. 3:12  That word delight means to approve, to be pleased with, to accept.  God delights in us as His children and it has nothing to do with what you do, but everything to do with who you are!  You are His son!  He is proud of you!  He boasts about you!  He speaks words of praise and purpose over your life.  He sees the good in you and His words are not flattery, but words of purpose because He is guiding you into your destiny.
This is what a good father does.  He sees the strengths and gifts in his child and he guides them, does not control them, but leads them to succeed at an early age.  Every person is created with a gift or talent.  It is your job as a father to discover that gift and then guide your child to success.  Every child is different, but they have some area that they are good at.  Find it and help them to succeed.  Early success and praise builds self esteem for a lifetime!  Remember the power of your words and use them to create a positive picture for your child to see!

  1. Disciplines his children.  “For whom the Lord loves He corrects…” Prov. 3:12  “Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”  Hebrews 12:9-11
This is where many fathers fail.  Discipline is the key to training a child to succeed.  Many fathers fail to properly correct their children.  Correction or discipline is what guides a child in the way they should go.  They need this guidance to reach their destiny.  They will not reach their destiny very often when left to themselves.  God gave us fathers and mothers for a reason and this is true spiritually also.  Discipline is a key tool in your parental tool chest.  Remember it is discipline with love!  Who the Lord loves He corrects!  The same is true of a father.  If you love your child you will discipline them in love to guide them in the way of righteousness.  We must be trained, disciplined to overcome our Adamic nature, sin nature to do wrong.  Have you ever wondered why you do not have to teach a child to do wrong?  It is our fallen nature and therefore we must have fathers to train us to do right!  A child left to himself brings shame to his parents!
It is of the utmost importance that you BE the person that you want your children to be!  You can’t train someone to be something that you are not!  Be the role model for them to follow.  Paul said, “Follow me.”  Jesus said, “Follow me.”  A true father says, “Follow me.”  Your words will mean nothing unless you support them with your actions!!!  This takes discipline on your part father!!!!

  1. Places a demand or expectation on his children.  There are many parables of Jesus that teach us that God our Father has an expectation of us.  Read the parable of the minas or talents in Luke 19:11-27.  Each person received something to work with and when the master returned he expected a return on his investment.
The creator, expects something out of His creation!  This is simply commonsense.  You were created for a purpose.  Fathers help you discover that purpose and then fulfill it.  A father’s expectation actually motivates the child to please his father.  I know in my life I always wanted to please my parents and when I did it brought them great pleasure.  My success, was their success and their joy, became my joy.  They trained me to succeed!  Anything less than that would not have been acceptable.  This did not happen by chance!  This happened because they trained me, they invested in me, they spoke words of praise and purpose over me.  They did not wait until I was an adult to tell me. “We expect you to succeed.”  No!  They planted seeds of success in me from a little child.  They prayed over me from conception!  I did the same for my children!  It works!!!!

These are only three areas that are part of being a good father.  Let me share one last thing.  I believe in in the power of my words and in the name I give my children.  Names are powerful.  I remember my wife and I had plaques made with our children’s names and their meanings and placed them on the wall.  As I have married each child to their spouse I have created a blessing that I spoke over them at their wedding.  I found an amazing thing!  The child became what we named them!  We named my son Cory.  Cory means “prosperous one.”  Cory has become very prosperous.  He has amazing gifts to discern people and has used it to become very successful in the banking industry.  I could share the name of each of my children and you would see that they became what we named them.  Fathers, speak blessing over your children.  If you believe in them, they will learn to believe in themselves and in their Heavenly Father who created them!

Keep believing for the impossible!

Dr. Taylor

THE ORPHANS FACTOR by Dr. Josimar Salum

It is very accurate what pastor Massa and Dr Paul Taylor have written. And both thoughts complete each other. Read the messages below.

The roots of the orphan-hood in a nation like Burundi are of a kind and sadly there are other kind of roots of orphan-hood in US and Brazil. The tragedy in Burundi is that social and political arrest generates thousands of orphans. The tragedy in Syria, Iraq... They are generated by war and ISIL. In Burundi is it is very similar. Their parents are killed and then you see refugees and orphans in thousands. In America and Brazil there thousands, if not, millions of orphans, but of living parents whom by their lifestyles disown their roles as parents and millions of children and young adults are equally orphans in the midst of financial wealth. So sad and disturbing. The people everywhere need the Father.

Yes, we have to give orphans even little of what we have, it is called sharing or apportion.

In the last days I have been thinking a lot over these matters. Before I slept last night I was praying about it. There was a cry for a need that came from Uganda. It is an specific request from a brother and also about a whole refugees camp without enough food to feed the people and they are suffering of malnutrition. Dr Taylor and I can't solve directly the problem.

I was thinking of some of the needs that I am aware in Brazil, India, Burundi and from other places and even here in the United States, and Dr. Taylor is right, there would not be enough money in our bank accounts to supply all these immediate needs.

Some of these people who ask us for help, to supply resources to pay college, to buy clothes for their children, to feed the refugees, to provide for orphanages, to pay for tuition in Bible colleges, to pay their airfare tickets, to provide for their families as missionaries, to support police associations, to give money for political campaigns in US and in Brazil, you name, just to mention some, we know, that during the years hundreds of requests came to our desks, and to most of them we said no and some of the people got very frustrated with our response.

If I was leaving in Brazil XX money should be necessary to support my family and I would provide for my family through my work. In US to provide for my family I need XXXXX money, if in Burundi I would probably need X money. There are different levels of income to live in different countries.

Dr. Taylor's and in my case the resources we generate from our work provide for our families and we also distribute part to attend the needs that come to our knowledge from the people we are related to. The needs are far more great that what we can supply. Why I am sharing this? I am bringing to each of you an understanding that will give a perspective on these matters that some of you may not have.

Everyday we are challenged by many problems related to our families, work, church, community and nation. I have been guided by a simply statement that has helped to calm down my frustrations of not being able to respond to every need that comes to my knowledge: A problem that I can't solve it is not mine.

It does not mean I would ignore it. The greatest participation I can have is prayer. When I pray I bring God into it. When I pray God partners with me for it. When I pray I offer myself to God if He wants to use me to solve it.

There is enough land and water in Burundi to supply all needs of all orphans in Burundi. What are the issues that hinder distribution of food and inclusion of all people in the wealth of a nation?

The communist ideology would say to take from the rich and give to the poor. That is stupidity. You would be bringing total poverty to the whole country.

Other would say that the government should supply for all poor. That is also stupid, because people would loose their freedom as they would become dependent of the political power.

Others may say that the Christian churches or other churches (religion) should concentrate their efforts to eradicate poverty at least among their members. Would be this a solution?

I want to offer some ideas for you to start to think and meditate with God to bring up solutions.

1 - The worst kind of poverty resides in the mind. A poverty mentality is the worse hindrance for personal and community development. We have to break free from dependence to interdependence.

The English clubs with their more than 8500 volunteers is a huge development platform that can promote a big change in the nation of Burundi in 5 years. And it will come with sharing of education principles to foster creativity, community involvement, interdependent relationships and practical solutions implementation in every community.

2 - The strategy of groups can be implemented in every aspect like Business clubs, Literacy clubs, Mothers clubs, Community problems solving clubs and other types of groups.

3 - There are disciples of Jesus in Burundi that are placed already in all spheres of society. The understanding of their roles in Transforming Burundi must evolve in practical work. This is already happening. That is how I see BFI groups in Education and in Business. But the most essential work is to disciple every Burundian with the Gospel of Jesus and set them free of the Christian religion and all religious practices.

4 - Political participation must be to help the community and not to fight for political parties agenda. We must defend policies and not personal agendas.

5 - The teaching of seeds shared a couple months ago is crucial for what you do. (Read here). Most of us are dreamers and talkers and not doers. Religious people preach sermons, disciples of Jesus live His message.

I hope we can go on with this discussion in the next days.

Thank you, pastor Massa for bringing the subject. I have more to share in these matters, but we want to hear from you.

Our desire is to come to Burundi one day very soon to think and do the impossible together, to get together for a round table to know each other and be a blessing for the whole nation.

Other participants of REAL that are not from Burundi are equally interested to be part of this transformation. We can pray, educate and do something together.

Dr Josimar Salum

Pastor Massa Zebron:
Being an Orphan is not a choice every child makes and no parent wants to live there Children in the world alone. Orphans are inocent souls and the world is becoming so cruel to them. we should not wait for God to drop manna from heaven so we can feed and help them. All we need is a true heart of Jesus Christ who lives in us to care for those who need love like we do. Lets teach our brothers and sisters that GOD IS THE MASTER PARENT and that can only be done by us because GOD is in us. They might seem dirty ugly to human minds but to CHRIST in us they are God's rightousness. Lets not wait for the world to help our brothers and sisters, lets help them be happy and loved with the little we have. that which u see as the smallest is the greatest if it comes from your heart. The scriptures say the old woman who gave the smallest and last coin she had gave the most.. It breaks my heart to see these children suffer because they dont have parents. Lets help with what we have and when we can. I pray that GOD blesses us

Dr. Paul Taylor:
You are so right my brother. We can all give some, but the answer is not simply giving money. This has been done for a long time in Africa and it has done little to change the circumstances of these innocent children.

The answer is helping people to discover who they are in Christ and what their purpose is on the earth. This includes orphans!

There are no mistake births in this world. We are created in God before the foundation of the world. God has used orphans to change nations!!!  We must invest in these children and educate them so they can become solutions to the problems in their world. We must help people start businesses to support themselves because there is not enough money to give to support them and even then we are teaching them to depend on others.

I am praying how REAL can be a solution to this problem.

Let us believe for the impossible.

Rise up Fathers! By Dr. Paul Taylor

Mathias and his new born son, Jedidiah!  Mathias is a spiritual father to many and so are you!  Rise up fathers!  Speak blessings over your children.

As I was praying for my spiritual son Mathias, his wife and his new born son, Jedidiah, the Spirit of the Lord began to move on me.  I began to prophesy over this child, his parents and the parents and children of the nation of Burundi and the world!

Jedidiah is only used once in the Bible, 2 Samuel 2:25.  David and Bathsheba had a child and they named the child Solomon, but God sent Nathan the prophet and he named the child, Jedidiah, LOVED OF JAH (GOD).

Here is what I heard from the Lord.  You may have been named by your parents, but God is naming you Jedidiah!  Loved of God!  There is a Spirit of fathering that is rising in Burundi and all around the world.  I know there are many orphans, but the Holy Spirit is saying, “You are no longer fatherless!”

"The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.  John 14:17,18

The Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit is being released in you and through you to your nations.  I hear it coming from each of you.  I see what many of you are doing and you do not even realize that you are fathers to a fatherless generation.

BUT IT IS THIS FATHERLESS GENERATION THAT GOD IS GOING TO USE TO CHANGE THE NATION OF BURUNDI!

IT IS THE FATHERS THAT GOD IS RAISING UP LIKE MATHIAS, INNOCENT, FABRICE, GERARD, PONTIEN, THADIUSE AND ALL WHO ARE IN THIS GROUP FROM BURUNDI AND FROM OTHER NATIONS THAT YOU ARE FATHERING A GENERATION THAT IS BRINGING CHANGE TO YOUR NATION.

Please don’t be offended if I did not mention your name!  I am speaking to all of you!!!!

God is raising up each of you just as He did Moses!  Read Exodus 2.  Moses was born during a time of great oppression.  He was supposed to be aborted, BUT HIS MOTHER SAW THAT HE WAS A BEAUTIFUL CHILD AND HID HIM FOR THREE MONTHS.

YOU are a beautiful child!  Each of you has been born for such a time as this.  You have been hidden for a season, but your time has come.  Moses had to become an orphan because of the oppression in Egypt, but he was spared by divine providence and raised by Pharaoh’s daughter.  He was an orphan, but God had a plan.  During his time in Pharaoh’s house he was taught by the best teachers and prepared to be a leader in Egypt, but God had even a greater plan.

It was the three years that his mother, Jocebed spoke over his life that implanted a seed that would take years to come to fruition!  She planted in him the seeds of greatness that would cause him later to stand for his people Israel and ultimately rise to become their leader!

I can’t express to you on paper with enough force, but the anointing of God is speaking right now, I surely hope you are sensing what the Holy Spirit is saying!

The Holy Spirit is saying that you are not fatherless!  You may think you are.  RIGHT NOW the Spirit of Truth is in you and is awakening you to your true identity!

"At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”  John 14:20,21

You are not only sons of God, but you are fathers to a fatherless generation.  Just as Jocebed, the mother of Moses saw the potential in her child, so must you see the potential in those around you!  What did she do?

She nurtured that child.  She protected him and fed him and provided what was necessary for that child to grow until he had to leave her and go to Pharaoh’s daughter who would then provide the next portion of what was needed to prepare Moses for his purpose!!!!  Nurture those God has given to you.  This is why we teach you.  We are nurturing you for the season ahead.

She prophesied over that child.  I am prophesying over Jedidiah and over the children of Burundi, of USA, of India, of Brazil and all the nations of the world!

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF YOUR WORDS?

Jocebed began to speak over that infant all that he was going to be even though she was in bondage to Egypt!  Are you hearing me?  Your present condition does not predicate the truth of God’s Word and your future!!!!

The apostle Paul was in prison and yet he wrote many of the New Testament epistles that has changed the world!!!!  It is time to prophesy over your children and over Burundi and over the orphan that has yet come to know their Heavenly Father!

We had a child in the in church in Maine who was born to a mother on drugs.  A family in the church became this child’s adoptive parents.  This child was very sick and was not suppose to live.  The parents in the church spoke over this child, “YOU ARE A MIGHTY MAN OF GOD!”  EVERY DAY THEY PROPHESIED OVER THIS CHILD!  One Sunday in church the Holy Spirit moved on this child.  No one prayed for him or touched him, but God touched him!  He was touched and has never been the same.  He lives today and is growing to be a mighty man of God!  The doctors have no explanation why this child is alive!  I have no doubt it is because these parents prophesied over this child!

PROPHESY OVER YOUR CHILDREN TODAY AND EVERY DAY!

She released that child to become what God had created him to become!  Jocebed had to release that child twice.  Once at three months and again at three years of age or after he had been weaned from his mother.  I can only imagine how difficult it was to let the child go, but she knew that God had a special purpose for his life.

GOD HAS A SPECIAL PURPOSE FOR JEDIDIAH, FOR EACH OF YOUR CHILDREN AND FOR THOSE WHO YOU ARE PROPHESYING OVER!  There will come a time that you must release them so that they can fulfill their purpose in God!

Every time I read the posts of Innocent Niyongabo for Friends of Burundi International, I know that he is prophesying over the nation of Burundi.  This is why people are waking up to their destiny and purpose!

What are you prophesying, speaking over your nation?  Over your children?  Over your family?  Over your friends?  Are you speaking blessing?  Are you speaking what God has purposed for their life?  God has a plan to prosper you!!!  He never speaks death!  He speaks life and that life in abundance!!!!!

Rise up fathers in Burundi!  The Holy Spirit of Truth is in you!  You are one with Jesus and the Father.  You are not an orphan and neither are the people of Burundi!  A Spirit of Fathering is being released today over you!  Speak to your children and release them to go change the world!

Believing for the impossible,

Dr. Paul Taylor

Note: Powerful revelation! I do hope you get it within you. I receive these words within me. Hear with God's ears and see as God sees.

Jedidiah is an alternative name for Solomon. Jedidiah means Loved by Yeaweh (the Lord). Solomon means Shalom, Peace. In Burundi this Jedidiah generation will bring PEACE do the nation. Both names are the revelation of Jesus Himself. So you are!

Five Strategies that cultivate an EPIC Leader by Dr Paul Taylor

Five Strategies that cultivate an EPIC Leader

We continue our training on leadership.  Not just any kind of leader, but an exceptional leader.

Epic is a word that means heroic; majestic; impressively great.

It was used especially in poetry to tell a story about a hero or about exciting events or adventures.

An EPIC leader is one who is characterized by having these traits.

Ethics
Principles
Integrity
Character

ROI conducted extensive research and found these five strategies to be consistent with exceptional or EPIC leaders.

1. Cultivate Positude.
Everyone talks about the importance of attitude – with good reason.   Attitude always comes up in conversations with high achievers in all types of professions as the top factor in their success.  It is vital to cultivate a positive attitude thus we coined the word “Positude.”  If you are going to be an EPIC leader you must not only possess a positive attitude, but you must cultivate positude in the people around you.

2. Lead by Serving.
Great leaders from the past and present agree that the leader who serves others is the most effective.  What greater example do we have than Jesus Christ!

3. Dare to make a difference.
Difference makers have vision, are willing to take risks, know how to tune into the inner voice and have found the way to serve the vision not the other way around.  Remember the soulutionist is one who lives from the inner man where we draw our strength from who we are in Christ.  This is what makes us change agents in our communities.

4. Embrace and Employ Discipline.
While this may sound like a business principle; like most of the others it is a principle of leadership.  Therefore it is present in leaders in all areas, whether it is business, government, non-profit or church.  Self-discipline separates exceptional leaders from acceptable leaders.

5. Update your snapshot regularly (forgiveness).
Don’t get stuck in the old ways of thinking about people, projects, yourself and the world around you.  One of the more difficult things for people to do is to forget the past, to forgive mistakes, to give people a second or even a third chance.  Great leaders are able to see change, forgive the past and move forward to achieve the vision.

Which is the most important?  There is no order of importance or sequence. Exceptional leaders don’t possess one or two of these strategies.  They develop all of them.  These strategies are all interrelated.  These 5 strategies, when wrapped around an EPIC core produce exceptional leadership.

The EPIC Core is not a strategy, it is your identity.

Related more to who you are than what you do.

What’s inside a person.

Ethics, Principles, Integrity and Character.

Backbone, Convictions, Purpose, Fortitude, Internal Strength, Core Values.

Without an EPIC Core, your leadership will not be exceptional.  (That does not mean, however, that you will be ineffective.)

In conjunction with an EPIC Core, the 5 strategies are far more powerful.

Your assignment is to write down how you can cultivate each of these 5 strategies in your life as a leader.  Let me remind you that great leaders lead their family.  Be an exceptional husband, father, son, daughter, mother, sister, etc!  Everything begins in the home!  You can discuss this with others if you would like.  You do not need to send me your answers, but you are welcome to comment on the training.

Keep believing for the impossible!

About Jesus and the Father. About who we are!

Dear brothers and sisters,

The Scripture does not say: "NO ONE SHALL REACH THE FATHER UNLESS HE PASSES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.''

The Scripture says: "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

The text doesn't say "passes through Jesus." LOOK: Jesus didn't say "no one goes to the Father"! He said "NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER, except through me"  Jesus did not mean to go to the Father, but to COME to the Father.

Why? JESUS AND THE FATHER ARE ONE!

Let us look at this very attentively. Even the disciples did not understand when Jesus said those words.

Understanding this is of the most importance! Who does not understand these words DO NOT KNOW JESUS INDEED. Jesus said that plainly.

“If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

(My God Father, how difficult is for people to understand what you are saying. Reveal it to each of my brothers and sisters. They are stuck with heaven, rewards, they think you do not rule now the universe, the earth, everything and everyone!")

Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time?

Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me?

The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

(Children of God don't do today the works like Jesus even greater works than Him because they don't accept the ONENESS of GOD and the ONENESS of God with us. They think God is in heaven, Jesus is in heaven and we are on our own. Even worst, they think that the Holy Spirit is with us, but they don't get it the ONENESS of the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. They follow a humane logic and they don't get the heavenly revelation that GOD IS ONE!")

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” John 14:7-14 NIV

One again, Dr Taylor brings a thought on leadership and some of you brings "religious Christian stuff." I am not rebuking anyone for doing so! I am glad you did! But unless you get intimate with Jesus and do not repeat what you have learnt without checking out for yourselves what the Holy Spirit really says you will get stuck with religious concepts for the rest of your lives that are not God's Word.

Jesus promises and gives eternal life. GOD is eternal life. Before the world was created there was no heaven, no Earth, nothing. God did not have a place to be. HE WAS! He is! He will be forever!

In the beginning there was GOD! And God became flesh! John chapter 1 tells us how. It is not the Son who became Flesh, it is not a second person of the Trinity (I am using a word that is not even biblical) who became human. It is GOD, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit who became flesh!

God reveals Himself as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, but don't look to the Father to see God in His fulness though the Father is God in fulness, or don't even look to the Holy Spirit to see God in His fulness though the Holy Spirit is God fully. Look at Jesus!

“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and  united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.” Colossians 2:2-3, 9-10

And don't think in terms of rewards, of something He will give us. We have Him. Jesus is our greatest and full reward.

And don't think in a place to be living in eternity. Look! We are God's Body! We are God's Temple! We are God's Building! We are God's House. And I could go on, but for your sake I will conclude with this.

We will be like God is! We already are! “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17.

Understand you alone are not God's body, temple, building, house. You alone are not as He is. We are! We are ONE!

I understand that the whole teaching of Jesus is to be seen as a whole and not in parts. Yes, we see in parts, as it is taught to us, step by step, word by word, but it is like a dragnet that is Bringing Everything in one only harvest.

When Jesus talks about the Father He is revealing the Father. When He talks about the Holy Spirit He is revealing the Holy Spirit. And when He reveals Himself saying I AM... I AM... The Father, the Holy Spirit is revealing Jesus. See them as ONE as God is ONE and you will not miss any revelation.

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” 1 Corinthians 13:12

The time has come to shift from knowing who you are in Christ to know who Christ is in you.

Then shall I know even as also I am known. How can this be? Surprise!

Five Strategies of Exceptional Leaders. Dr. Paul Taylor

I would like to start a short training on "Five Strategies of Exceptional Leaders."

Remember one of the purposes of REAL is to develop our leadership skills.

As John Maxwell has said, "Everything rises and falls with leadership."  WE ARE ALL LEADERS!  The question is "What kind of leader are you?"

"My grandfather once told me that there were two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take the credit.  He told me to try to be in the first group.  There is much less competion."
  • Indira Gandhi.

There was a survey asked to many businessmen about leadership qualities and characteristics.  They were asked to order what they felt were the most important leadership qualities.  Here is the list from 1 to 10.

1. Honesty   83%
2.  Competent   67%
3.  Forward looking or having vision 62%
4.  Inspiring   58%
5.  Intelligent   43%

Isn’t it interesting that the number one quality of a businessperson is honesty!  We hear all the time about dishonest business people.  Many believe that you have to be dishonest to succeed in business.  Do you?  Is that really the kind of person you want to be?  High School students in the United States were asked if they believed they needed to lie, cheat and steal to be successful.  Over half of them responded yes!  This is why people do not trust people today, especially in business.  The successful businesses are built on honesty, integrity and character!

Here are some quotes on leadership.

“The true measurement of leadership is influence; nothing more, nothing less.” John Maxwell

“Leadership is a potent combination of strategy and character.  But if you must be without one, be without strategy.” General Norman Schwarzkopf:  United States General

“Leadership is letting go in the doing, but not letting go in the guiding.” Dave Thomas; Chairman and Founder of Wendy’s

“Leadership is the art of accomplishing more than the science of management says is possible.” Colin Powell

“Leadership is the ability to take people beyond their natural skills to the fulfillment of dreams.” Rich Marshall

“There go my people and I must catch them for I am their leader.” Gandhi

“Leadership is the ability to inspire confidence, determine direction and to serve with character and integrity.” ROI Leadership focus group

It is now your turn.  I want you to take a few minutes and write your own definition of leadership.

Leadership is ……

Please send your definitions to Dr. Josimar and to Dr. Taylor!

Acceptable vs. Exceptional Leadership

One of the biggest problems that we face in the business world is complacency.  People become satisfied very easily with the status quo, mediocrity!

The question is “Will you be satisfied with acceptable leadership or will you push to excel?”

We should never be satisfied with mediocrity.

I once preached a message entitled “God hates vanilla!”  Vanilla ice cream is acceptable, but God wants exceptional leaders.

Here are the differences between:

Acceptable Leaders Exceptional Leaders

1.  Have convictions Live convictions

2.  Career focused Calling focused
(it’s all about me) (it’s all about the cause)

3.  Understand Vision Understand the purpose
and Mission behind vision nd mission

4.  Is motivated Is motivated
by activity/results by shared vision

5.  Motivates others minds Motivates others hearts

6.  Operates within the rules Operates with passion towards vision and
and regulations mission

7.  Core beliefs are situational Core beliefs are integrated in life and work

I hope that you can see the difference between the two kinds of leaders.

One is being a certain kind of person because of his job.

The other is that person and
they excel at their job because of it.

There are 5 levels of leadership to become an Exceptional Leader.

Exceptional Leader
Level 5

that ambition.

Level 4: Effective Leader

Catalyzes commitment to and vigorous pursuit of a clear and compelling vision,
stimulating higher performance standards.

Level 3: Competent Manager

Which level would you be on at this time in your life?
We all need to grow in the
area of leadership.

Are you growing?  Are you stuck?

From the above chart, are you acceptable or exceptional?

REAL is about exceptional leaders who are visionary
leaders understanding the purpose and the cause!

We will continue this training after you have responded to my questions.
