People, process and prayer by Dr. Paul Taylor

I have been giving great thought into how God works through our circumstances to bring us into our destiny!  So often we fail to see God in our circumstances and yet it is those very circumstances that God wants to use to move us from where we are, to where He wants us to be…  Let’s pick it up in Exodus 2.  In the midst of our circumstances we become so focused on our pain that we fail to recognize God working in our midst.  Right now you may be in so much pain, sorrow or fear, that you are unaware of the plan of God unfolding right before your eyes.

In the midst of our circumstances God works in and through three ways.

1.  People!  Exodus 2 begins with the birth of Moses!  I realize that it was many years before Moses was used as a deliver, but the fact of the matter is that God had a plan and it involved a person.  I believe that God uses people as deliverers all the time in our lives.  These people come from all walks of life, nations and may not even be a believer!  Never limit how God can bring deliverance.  God used Jael to deliver Israel from Cisera.  He used Rahab the harlot to hide the spies in Jericho, and he used Moses in this desperate situation here in Exodus.  No one would have ever thought to have used these people, but God had a plan.  Never forget that we serve a miraculous, mysterious, and methodical God who works in ways that we do not know!

2.  Process!  Exodus 2:23 “Now it happened in the process of time…”  You have heard me speak about PROCESS!  Most often time is involved.  Chronos time awaits for Kairos time!  Chronos time is what we use everyday to make the hours, days and months of our lives.  Kairos time is a moment in time that something special happens!  God brings everything together in a Kairos moment in time!  Never, ever think that God is not working in your life, even when circumstances seem so difficult.  Process is working!

3.  Prayer!  Exodus 2:23,24.  “…then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out: and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.  So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and with Jacob.”  God hears your prayer and He remembers the covenant that He has with you!  God will never forget the sacrifice of His Son that purchased your freedom!  No matter what your circumstances may look like to you, God is the same yesterday, today and forever.  The apostle Paul reminded Timothy of this in 2 Timothy 2:9, “for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains: but the word of God is not chained.”  I want you to know that the Word of God is not chained concerning your circumstances!

God has people he is using for your purpose, process is working for your well being, and finally He hears your prayers remembering you are His child.  He will not forget His covenant He has with you sealed with the blood of Jesus Christ!

I continue to believe for the impossible for each of you wherever you live.  Never give up!  Stand and watch as God works on your behalf.

Believing for the impossible,
