DO NOT TALK ONLY, JUST DO IT!

This video was recorded specially for REAL. Please, watch and share. Please, comment! What are the lessons have you learned in this message and is going to put in practice in your life? I find one of the challenges in life is not to do the hard things in life. We want to be able to to big things, but most often we don't do the little things we can. The impossible then becomes what we don't do we can, due to laxity, procrastination and other reasons. We may be not able to climb a huge mountain today, but are we willing to climb the small ones? If we do not change ourselves into practitioners we will go on in life being just speakers and accomplishing nothing. I encourage you today to be who you really are, a DOER and not a TALKER. Stop talking: You have to move your feet.

It is pointless to ask God for direction if you are not willing to move your feet.

Every breakthrough and every success story is the combination of God's power and human effort. "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6

God brought manna to Israel but He didn’t make it fall inside their tents, neither did God pick it up and chew it for them. (Exodus 16)

No amount of praying or fasting could replace Israel’s need for decision-making and decisive action. “Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.” Exodus 14:15-16

Each Israelite had to get up early in the morning, find containers and gather enough manna for the day.

God usually doesn't do for you anything that He’s already given you the strength to do. “I CAN DO ALL THIS THINGS through GOD who gives me strength.”Philippians 4:13

God wants to bless you financially but you have to getup every morning and work diligently and faithfully. “Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.”
Ephesians 4:28

God wants to bless you with a child but you have to endure the nine long arduous months of pregnancy.

God wants to bless you with a virtuous wife or loving husband but you must get out of your comfort zone, sacrifice comfort and convenience, open your heart to love and be loved, invest time in the relationship, lose a few friends and disappoint some family members along the way. Just because it is from God doesn’t mean it’s to be easy.

God gave Israel the Promised Land but they had to walk through the desert, cross seas and flooded rivers, and fight and kill for it.

Whatever it is that you’ve been praying for, God might’ve already said yes. But it won’t fall on your lap without your effort and action. After claiming it in prayer you must get up and take it by force.

Birds are born to fly, not withstanding the law of gravity. Fish are born to swim, not withstanding the principle of floatation. Every child of God is born to win the battles of life, regardless of all obstacles and challenges. Whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world.

No two birds have ever collided in the sky, which means there's more space for all of them. You don't need to pull your neighbor down to succeed. Pulling someone down does not necessarily mean you will go up!

There is more than enough space and resources for us all to be the best that God wants us to be. (Author unknown)

Five Strategies of Exceptional Leaders: 1 - Cultivating Positude

Cultivating Positude: a Positive Attitude.

We have talked about the five strategies that surround the EPIC.

Remember EPIC stands for Ethics, Principles, Integrity, and Character.

Before going forward you should think about these basic questions:

What is your purpose? Why do you exist? What do you want to accomplish? What are your dreams? Think about your purpose in life. As a student. As a husband. As a father. As a son. As an orphan. As a teacher. As a king. As a champion. As an SouLutionist. As a revolutionary.

One of the most important strategies to being this kind of leader is to cultivate Positude!  A positive attitude!

Here is an action plan to Positiude.

1. Consider the people you associate with.

• Build a longer list of those that encourage you.

2. Map out your goals.

• Spend 15-20 minutes with a blank sheet of paper and try to list 15 to 20 goals that will bring you closer to your purpose.

3. Serve your associates.

• Consider sending a helpful tool to 4-5 friends today.

• Consider a few “thank you’s.”

4. Ask questions.

• Try listening 70% of each conversation.

5. Apply the Principle of the Slight Edge.

• It’s the details, the little things that can make a great difference.

6. Celebrate your uniqueness.

• You don’t have to be just like everyone else.

7. Build a collaborative culture.

• Encourage innovation and creativity.

• Demand excellence not perfection.

8. Follow through.

• Thing of the things you have not yet finished and do it now.

9. Learn the art of positive criticism.

• Praise in public; Reorientation or correction in private.

10. Turn obstacles into opportunities.

• This includes past failures.  Don’t let yesterdays mistakes keep you from moving forward today.

These are some very important thoughts and things we all need to apply to our lives on a regular basis.  You may need to address these things on a monthly basis.

Success is doing the right things over and over again.  Sometimes we need reminders and this list can be very helpful.

I want you now to think about this quote from one of America’s great leaders.  Jack Welsh, the former CEO of General Electric once said,

"Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself.  When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.”

Tell why you agree or disagree with this statement.  Remember we are developing servant leaders with Jesus Christ being our model.

You might also want to define a “servant leader.”

Most people in business want to climb the ladder of success by stepping on other people in their journey.  That is not the model of success that we are promoting.

I pray that these thoughts will encourage you to grow your self and others.  They come from ROI and it is my privilege to pass them along to you.

Believe for the impossible,

Dr. Paul Taylor

The Seven Slight Edge Principles by Jeff Olson

The Seven Slight Edge Principles can be used every day for your personal and business life.

The things we do or don’t do every day move us closer or father away from our goals.

1. Show Up:

Director Woody Allen said “80% of success is showing up.”  Most people won’t take the steps to just get started then learn the skill necessary to follow-through and overcome the obstacles.  Stop thinking about it get busy.  Commit and show up.

2. Be Consistent:

Consistency and showing up work together.

Consistent effort over time produces results.

How do you measure effectiveness if what you are measuring isn’t performed consistently?

Be consistent.

3. Have a Good Attitude:

Jim Rohn said;

“Each of us has the ability to put our unique human potential into action and to acquire a desired result. But the one thing that determines the level of our potential—that produces the intensity of our activity and predicts the quality of the result we receive—is our attitude.”

Enough said.

4.  Be Committed for a Long Period of Time:

Showing up, commitment and consistency is critical for long-term success in any venture.

Jim Rohn also relates to the Biblical story, The Parable of the Sower.  The sower committed to sowing seed regardless of the outcome. Keep sowing, sowing and sowing and you’ll eventually reap the harvest.

5.  Have Faith and a Burning Desire:

Napoleon Hill wrote;
'There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, and the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it’.

Most important be specific about what you want and write it down!

6.  Be Willing to Pay the Price:

Jeff Olson says, “Anything worth having is worth working and paying a price for.”

Zig Zilar said; “You do not pay theprice of  success, you enjoy the price of success.”

Following the Slight Edge Principles will keep you on track.

7. Practice Slight Edge Integrity:

Integrity and character are demonstrated as by what you do when no one’s looking.  Be true to yourself first.

The compounding effect of the Slight Edge Principles works both ways.

What’s easy to do is also easy not to do.

Success is a compilation of small daily decisions.  Missing a day or two or three might go unnoticed for a while but the compounding effect of good and bad decisions eventually work for you or against you.

By Mark Petticord

Being productive and being busy are not necessarily the same thing. Doing things won’t create your success; doing the right things will. – Jeff Olson

One of the great things about the slight edge philosophy is how it can be applied to any area of your life. It can be in fitness with exercise vs eating , or in finances when it comes to investing or paying down a debt vs paying the interest on a debt.
I also really like what Olson says about its effects spreading:
Success in any one of these areas begins to affect all the others too. Improve your health and you improve your relationships; work on your personal development and you have an impact on your career. Everything affects everything else.
In the end, it all comes back to personal development and getting the right information, as Olson points out quite well.
The greatest gift you could ever give yourself is also the wisest business investment you could ever make. It is also the most critical step in accomplishing any challenging task, and is the one step without which all other success strategies, no matter how brilliant or time tested, are doomed to fail.
What is this mysterious gift? It is your own personal development.
Ben Franklin basically said the same thing; in a shortened version. I love this quote so much that it’s the signature to all my emails.
If a man empties his purse into his head, no man can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.
95% of people don’t succeed as they would like to in their life, and that is mainly because they focus too much on results. Focusing on results is important, as I point out in my page on my goals. But the people who have the drive to succeed yet remain in that 95% category usually ignore what is going to get them the results. It’s going to take the right information; the right philosophy.
Olson goes through the different ways of acquiring the right information like books and CDs, but he also covers one more important medium. This is about having mentors and being part of a group or community to support you.
It’s easy to quit something, or not do something you should be doing, if no one is watching. When you’re around a group of people it’s harder not to do those easy things that everyone else around you is doing. It’s about the power of association. Jeff Olson points out how this principle works for everything.
I was just at a LIFE meeting with Mike Rocheleau speaking, and he made the following great analogy which I feel fits nicely with this subject.
If someone backed up a dump truck onto your lawn and emptied its contents all over the place, you would be out of your house and letting the person know how unhappy you were with the situation and would make sure it was cleaned up. But we let garbage into our mind all the time, and welcome it.
It’s time to make the decision to do something about it. Stop letting the garbage in, and start putting in pieces of gold instead.

REAL: Please, Keep it up the good work!

REAL: Please, keep it up the good work!

REAL is a Whatsapp group and a blog for a community of history makers and world changers.

REAL is an acronym for Relationships, Empowering, Advancement, and Leadership

We need to be real with each other so that we all grow in our relationships (all relationships), we empower each other (we are committed to the success of others), we advance the Kingdom (who we are together), and we become the leaders God wants us to be.

THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS GROUP.

There are some people in REAL that are already mentoring others. You will become a mentor for others.

There are on the group business people, scientists, professors, engineers, students and many others from many areas of expertise from many nations. Please, understand your participation as you were seated around a round table in a room.

And one thing very important: This is not about religion! This is not about religion! This is not about religion!

We share only things pertaining to the objectives of the group. Anything that is meant for personal promotion, money driven, religious talking and events, pictures and other people messages and ideas are not encouraged.

We want to read and discuss YOUR IDEAS and THOUGHTS

Only  facilitators can publish writings from other authors. Usually they choose to publish from people they know personally, things that can add value to you.

I myself want to have a serious and profitable conversation around themes that can change me, can change you  and transform the communities that we are involved with.

So, I want to explain you something. I know each of us want to share pictures of our dogs and cats, share the marvelous things we do, copy messages from other people, anything we want to, etc., BUT we have to understand there are people so busy, they don't have the time to read or see things that are not related to the purpose of this group.

I, myself, are very interested in reading only what you write, your things and YOUR ideas that YOU want to share. Don't be afraid to share them. Even so, get ready to be challenged. Don't be offended if someone contest your writings. That is fine. We don't look for approval here. We just want to grow and be transformed. Act as a grown person, a mature fellow that is not afraid to be challenged! Believe me, it will work for good!

And please, ask questions that are relevant for you and your community.
Sometimes we will be silent if you do not  ask questions. Be courageous to ask the unthinkable! We will not be shy to respond! You must not be shy ask.

Let us be open minded and focused to the purpose of REAL. We will not distract from our objectives!

REAL is a group for ideas, high thinking and innovation.

It is about the teachings of the Kingdom. It is about the new things God is doing. It is about new wineskins. It is about change, but not any change. It is about God's change.

So, please, let us focus on what we have as purpose. If you think this is not a group that can add value to your life, you don't need to stay. However, please, don't get offended with what I am sharing. There are many people that are being challenged by the thoughts we have shared and they are growing in many spheres of their lives. I hope you stay and be transformed!

We will not publish things that are unrelated. We will not loose interest for the REAL things.

For the King's glory and for your joy,

Dr. Josimar Salum

REAL 45: What this has to do with REAL?

What this has to do with REAL - Relationship, Empowerment, Advancement and Leadership

I think that relationship with Jesus is only formal and religious for people who don't know Him well. It seems that we act in a certain way when we are in church and in a different way when we are doing business.

I don't say this in general terms, but I would like to encourage you to be just YOU when you pray and say whatever you like to say to Jesus.

I myself say anything I want. Some of my brothers and sisters would be very offended if they hear me talking to Jesus privately.

One thing I know Jesus likes a lot to hear me saying what I really think and I mean it, because you know I can't hide anything from Him. And my relationship with him must be uniform all day long. I don't change the tone of my voice when I pray! He would think I am crazy! 😀😀 I am just who I am wherever I go. And I don't pretend to be spiritual with him and anybody else, because I am not!

I am really empowered when I am who I am. Because Jesus empowers me and not a performance of me. Life is not a theatrical drama or a comedy I have to pretend as it is real. It is real! Jesus made me to be who I am and he is changing me to be like him until I ultimately be Him with all my brothers and sisters. This is true empowerment!

I can't advance pretending to be somebody-else. I can't progress out of an impersonated person that I am not. Why look so spiritual in church when in a classroom or in my work environment I am another person?

Jesus is transforming my life and giving me the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit for my daily life. Where I need most the gift of discernment of spirits and revelation is on my job site than in church. I pray more in tongues when I am working than when I am in church. I pray for people to get healed much more in restaurants, hotels, workplaces, schools and in the streets than in churches. I am making more disciples today on whatsapp than in church. Can you believe it?

Leadership has to do to who I am and how I relate to the Lord more than anything else. And how I relate to others is immediately impacted by my relationship with Jesus. More I have fellowship with Him much more people come to me to hear a meaningful message that really reflects Jesus.

I see Jesus and I perceive Him very close to me, always accessible, always ready to talk and listen, alive right here by my side.

I don't see Jesus seated on the Throne very far in heaven, I mean, he is seated on the Throne, I see, but as I knell down he stretches his left hand and pulls me up for a talk. And I marvel at his feet as I look up to His face and he is always smiling and happy and full of joy for being my King and Friend!

I pray you get this right!

REAL (33): How to think instead of just talking!

HOW TO THINK INSTEAD OF JUST TALKING

We believe the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit! Yes, we do!

We also believe that there is ONE TRUE GOD!

The word we use for unity does not reveal who GOD REALLY IS! The great I AM!

So we are not going to discuss these theological matters here!

Jeremie Nitirandekura REAL Burundi published a post:

<<<Alright. He´ll give us to sit to His right as He was given to sit to His Father´s right hand.>>>

Then I said:
TO THINK ABOUT: If there is just one Throne mentioned in the book of Revelation (Apocalypses) how can Jesus be seated at the right hand of the Father?

I did not say to talk about it, to question about it, to respond, anything else! I just asked you TO THINK ABOUT!
😀😀😀😀

Then Jean Marie REAL Burundi commented: "I took a time to see exactly what the bible says in Reveration22:1b and verse3b talk about the throne of God and of the lamb."

Good! That is OK! That is how we should do! Taking the time TO SEE EXACTLY WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS!

Then Jeremie Nitirandekura published:
"To him who overcomes I will grant him to sit with Me on My throne,as I also overcame and sat down with my My Father on His throne." Revelation 3:21

I then responded: Yes, there is just ONE THRONE!!

Jeremie continued:
Of course it shows that there's one throne in heaven. But the kingdom is one. IT doesn't mean that Jesus has his belonging throne apart from the Father's kingdom.

But the Father granted the same kingdom "Then the seventh angel sounded: and there were loud voices in heaven ,saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever" Revelation 11:15.

If the Bible says that Jesus was seated at right hand of the Father it means that the Kingdom is one.

Therefore if the kingdom is one,the throne must be also one.

In other words if the thrones are two, the kingdom will be two.😀😀😀

WOULD IT BE THE CASE WHILE THE FATHER AND THE SON ARE UNITED?🙉🙉

I got very excited with his words:
YES YES YES 👏👏👏 Father and Son are ONE - not number one! - And Father, Son and US ARE ONE --- BUT ONE in ONENESS

Then here comes Jean Marie comment out of theology, not from Scriptures, but from a "pre-conceived dogma"! I am not saying it is right or wrong, just

"As Jeremie says, the throne symbolize a kingdom and the kingdom must have a king.it's then the only one God in the trinity who reigns and sits on the throne"

The throne does not symbolize, Jeremie did not say it was a symbol, etc  Please, I am not making these comments to diminish what Jean Marie wrote! No! We have agreed we can say anything we want here according to the objectives  of the group. What I am doing now is an exercise so we can all learn how to THINK instead of just publishing our opinions and beliefs!

I wrote:

HOW CAN WE THINK OF OURSELVES always being apart? There are so many churches and Pastors and Tribes and divisions in so many places. We have to change our minds, the way we think!

“For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:” Ephesians 2:14-16 KJV

The word Trinity does not appear in the holy scriptures! We are not going to discuss theological stuff here, but I must - I MUST - I MUST - tell that all the doctrines you have learned so far must be checked out by your own study of the Scriptures  and through YOUR PERSONAL AND INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD JESUS.

It is possible that more than 80% of what you believe in your Christian life you have never checked it out by YOURSELF according to JESUS, the WORD OF GOD.

We are accustomed to repeat what we have learned from our leaders without investigating by ourselves with the HOLY SPIRIT if they are true or not!

Please think about it before just repeating or copying with somebody else have said whoever they are!

I understand that we all like to publish things from somebody else! That is fine! We do that!

But we want to encourage YOU to think for yourself, to be able to analyze and think through everything even what we - dr Paul Taylor, myself and anybody ELSE publish in REAL!

REAL (29): MY DREAM BY JEREMIE MANIRAKIZA REAL - Burundi, Africa

MY DREAM BY JEREMIE MANIRAKIZA
REAL - Burundi, Africa

My dream "is to see every disciple of Christ in Burundi transforming communities and raising others who will impact the country, and the whole world through a faithful proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel of The Kingdom."

Therefore, why this dream?

In fact, i was born in the most Christianized country in the world where almost 75% are Christians, only 5% are Muslim, and the rest 20% are indigenous, sects or no religion according to the statistics. But how a country with so many christians persists in a cycles of ethnic violance, and be ranked among the world's most corrupt country and poorest nation?

Someone would ask himself this question: does the Gospel ever spoken in Burundi has truly transformed lives? Was the Gospel of Jesus faithful proclaimed? How the Gospel of Jesus Christ can become ineffective when it is faithfully proclaimed?

However, I believe that the Gospel is " the power of God for salvation of everyone who believe." (Rom1:7) I belive also that salvation by Jesus Christ affects all aspects of life including spiritual, social, economics and politics, if not, it is not salvation at all.

So why full transformation?

Full transformation according to my analyses: is all about transforming the World and the lives of people so that relationship with God, others and the environment are restored as God intends. Most people think that the work of churches is to increase the number of believers. No matter what, it is not churches do the work, it is disciples of Jesus that are already prepared and already are out there who must listen to people, find out what their needs are and work with them to meet these needs.

The church is not a building where christians meet but it is a community of believers  themselves that intentionally must be involved in evry aspect of life in their places, practically sharing the love of God with their neighbours. Eventually, the church is just an assembly of disciples of the Kingdom of God in every part of life. This assembly is an assembly whenever they come together, even two or three gathered in Jesus Name.

Here in Burundi we rejoice when we see people coming to our "churches and filling our churches" (i.e. Buildings) but we don't commit ourselves to disciple those people to become children of God.

My drean is to see children of God becoming real children of God in their societies and real Kings and priests wherever they are.

REAL (20):Just dreaming or not dreaming at all.

"Normally we dream when we are asleep.
Between nights of dreams we get up and we work.
We must wake up to do what we have to do
to keep us dreaming
while we are sleeping.
Some people live in the clouds just dreaming
meanwhile their financial debt is increasing.
In another instance,
there are people that never dream,
as a result they accomplish nothing
while they are just standing still
and life is moving." (JSalum)

REAL (18):The meaning of being a king in the Kingdom of God?

Dr. Paul Taylor

Revelation 1:6 says “and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:6 NKJV

Jesus Christ has made us kings. That is why He is referred to as "The King of kings."  What does a king do?  He rules or governs the people of his domain.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT WE WERE NEVER CREATED TO CONTROL OR DOMINATE OTHER PEOPLE.

Our leadership is like that of Christ. We are to be servant leaders that lead by example not by might. Jesus gave us authority, not power to lead or govern. Authority is the skill of getting people to willingly do your will because of your personal influence. Power is the ability to force someone to do your will because of your position or might.

Many believers confuse these two words. We have authority in this world and power against the devil or evil. DON'T CONFUSE THE TWO OR YOU WILL HURT MANY PEOPLE AS YOU TRY TO LEAD THEM IN LIFE.

We are also called to be a righteous king!

A priest is one who intercedes for others. That is our spiritual responsibility. Again just like Jesus who intercedes for us and the people of the world.

The problem is that believers try to be priests in places where they have been called to be kings. This is not to say that we can't pray for people on the job because we are always spiritual beings and God is always with us. But there is a time for all things and we must discern when to apply compassion on the job and when to fire the person who was stealing money from us.

Let me ask this question. In Scripture who did more for Israel (OT) or for he church in the NT, kings or priests?

Was David a priest? Daniel? Abraham?  Moses?  Solomon?  The answer of course is no. The first people in the OT to be filled with the Spirit of God and wisdom were not priests, but artisans that built the tabernacle and the garments of the priests. Ex. 31:1-4; 28:3

In the NT the disciples were fishermen, a tax collector and other various occupations but none were priests.

Of all the miracles in the Book of Acts of the Holy Spirit, 39 total, none happened in a church or synagogue!

My point is that western civilization and originally Constantine made ministers and priests religious leaders (clergy) and all the others lay people or secular.  U will not find clergy and secular in NT scripture.  Jesus Christ has made us ALL KINGS AND PRIESTS.

That does not mean there is no place for the 5 fold ministry among those who gather together. Some are called to be Apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and pastors.  They have gifts to do that work, BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE THEM MORE ANOINTED THAN THE PERSON CALLED TO BE A CARPENTER OR BUSINESSMAN OR FARMER.

Who anoints us?  A Bible College?  A pastor or church leader?  Only the Anointed One, Jesus Christ!  He has anointed everyone who He has chosen and dwells in!

The key is you must know who u are (your identity), and your purpose and that u are anointed, then u will go forth with authority, and confidence!  Now u can move mountains because of the anointing that flows through your life.

"The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without purpose!"
- Myles Monroe

To be kings and priests means to have a ministry that takes all our lives, like the King David. His ministry was to be a King and also to write the most beautiful Psalms. His works improved the people lives. I believe it means that our occupation is a part of all ministry that God gave to us. And to live this is to live the God's purpose to our lives

REAL (15): Why John the Baptist sent his disciples to ask Jesus if Hewas the one who would come when himself baptized Him?

I have a question from our leaders about Jesus and John the Baptist. We all know aJesus Christ was coming to Jordan to be baptized by John and then we know also that John the Baptist when heard in prison what Christ was doing, he sent his disciples to ask him: are you the one who was to come or should we expect someone else? My question is: Why John the Baptist sent his disciples to ask Jesus if He was the one who would come when himself baptized Him?
Gilbert Nduwinana - REAL Burundi

Gilbert, Dr. Taylor here.

John the Baptist asked the question about Jesus being the One because he was facing death.  He was in prison and was not seeing the works of Jesus Christ.

The Bible is very good to show us the human side of mankind. John was weary and his faith was weak at that time. Even in this condition Jesus never changed His feelings about John.  "Assuredly, I say to u, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the Kingdom of heaven is greater than he."
Matthew 11:11

(I also believe John was doubting about his own identity. If Jesus was not the Messiah, the Christ he had worked in vain. As Paul said he was in prison, his 6 month ministry ended so rapidly. The core of John the Baptist question was if Jesus was the Christ:

“Then there arose a dispute between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purification. And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified—behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!” John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’ He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease. He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.” John 3:25-31, 34)

This Jesus said right after John's disciples left to return to John. The Bible never hides man's weakness and this should be a great encouragement to all of us. We do not have to be perfect!  He is perfect and anything we accomplish is because He is in us and works through us. This is the grace of God. If we could only accept this and understand that we are the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ then we would no longer think as sinners, but we would allow our minds to be renewed and begin to think like God. We would begin to see solutions and strategies that would reflect God who created us.

Stop thinking u are a sinner and begin to walk in the righteousness of Christ!  Now u understand why Jesus said, ...but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he (John).

Gilbert just a few more thoughts that I hope will encourage u.

So often we feel we cannot do anything for God and His Kingdom because we have failed in some way. I am not making any excuse for our failures, our sin. Even though we are righteous in Christ we still have to deal with the weakness of our flesh!  This weakness, if confessed before God is not a problem. Jesus conquered sin on the Cross.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

Sin is not a problem with God. It is man's pride (which is a sin) that is a problem. It is when we think we can do life on our own, in our own strength. Then when we fail, and we will fail because we can not live a righteous life without Christ!  Then we have to deal with condemnation that does not come from God, but from our carnal thinking and Satan.

So the Bible gives example after example of people God used who were far from perfect.

We all know what a great man ELIJAH was and yet James writes, "Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months."
James 5:17

The Apostles were all simple men, fishermen, tough men but Jesus saw their hearts and they changed the world. Paul the Apostle was a horrible murderer. Cheif of sinners. On and on we can go. Religion has made these men bigger than life. They were great men, but they were no different than you or me. They were just surrendered to Jesus. We must do the same.

Blessings my friend. Don't let the traditions of religion hold u back from becoming all u were created to be!

Our perfection is in God.

“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
Matthew 5:44-48 NKJV

The word "perfect" here in Greek means "having reached its end, complete, by extension "perfect", complete in all its parts, full grown, of full age. Jesus said "you shall be prefect as your Father in heaven is perfect" speaks about the perfection of us all together as Paul explains in Ephesians chapter 4, i.e. we can't individually be perfect in ourselves, because we are only perfect in Him. In other words, in the Kingdom and in the Church we are not meant to be individuals by ourselves. Even God is not perfect without us.

“And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John 17:22-23 NKJV

“till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:13, 15-16 NKJV
